ZOOBILATION I WANT CANDY

Wednesday night we went to zoobilation at the Audubon zoo. A night for the members at the zoo. They had music, food, space walks, art projects, watermelon stomps by the elephants, feeding times with the animals and ALL of New Orleans and ALL of the North shore. There were sooooo many people. I didn't take a million pics bc it was tight quarters. We had a BLAST and so did the girls. The highlight of the evening was the girls getting Roman Candy for the very first time!!!

Popcicle

Last night we had lasgna for dinner. Anytime we have anythign with red sauce the girls get stripped down. They ate so well last night that we went out n our back porch to have popcicles.

Trail Head Fountains

Today we went to the Mandeville Trialhead to play in the fountains. Water shoots up all over the place at different times and heights. Last year we went, but the girls did sooooo much better this year. They LOVED it!! We were there for three hours with NO melt downs! That is a LONG time outside playing with other kids and no melt downs! The girls had a BLAST so we will be going back soon!!!

We read the book Five Silly Monkeys play hide and seek last night for the first time. I caught a shot of Amelia counting to play hide and seek. It amazes me that she picked it up in one reading and was doing this..... counting out loud.

Cookies for Daddy

(Sorry for the music...I couldn't resist!!! :)

The other day I decided that we would make one of daddy's favorite cookies for him. The girls had a ton of fun, and they were YUMMY!! They kept saying cookies for Daddy?? I let them pour EVERYTHING in except the vanilla. I even cracked the egg and put it in a measuring cup to let them pour it in themselves. The kitchen was a little messy afterwards, but it was a great learning experience for them. I hope they learn to cook WAYYY before I did. Brian I hope you enjoyed the oatmeal raisin cookies!

Chirstening, a Cook out, and Swimming

Last Sunday we went to our friends Erica and Josh's little girls christening. Reese is SUCH a cutie!!! They had a awesome back yard grill out for the reception afterwards. They even told us to bring swimsuits for the girls to be able to play in the little pools. The girls had a great time playing with all the kids and we had a great time visiting with everyone!

My photography blog DOUBLE TAKES made an apperance today on the www.babyblogaddict.com today as the website spotlight of the day!!!

Funny thing is I started my photography business almost exactly a year ago. It was a DREAM that I didn't think I could ever really persue! I never could have imagined that I would be able to set my own schedule to work and still be a full time stay at home mom. It turly is a dream come true. Not many people absolutely LOVE what they do. Thanks to all of you who have had faith in me and helped me get everything started. Without all of your referrals I wouldn't have met such amazing kiddos to photograph.
