Christmas Morning

This Christmas morning was the best one yet!!! The girls came running into our room asking if Santa had come. I got up put my contacts in while they crawled in bed with Daddy so I could get the video camera etc. ready! We all came out and their reaction was PRICELESS! Can I tell you how blessed I felt that morning. I know that we went through hell to get these to amazing little girls, but I am still AMAZED at how lucky we are to be their parents!
I will post a video soon -- SOO CUTE!
The first thing they checked out was that Santa ate all the cookies and the Reindeer left half a carrot. Then they were checking out Santas bag (he stops at our house last and leaves it here!) and their new bikes!
SUPER excited to get a gymnastic leotard and a ticket for gymnastic classes!

HOORAY Swimming baby!

MY PRESENTS!!!!

Future photographer? I hope so!! :)

Or future beuatician? Santa gave them some cool girly stuff!

Abigail pretending to paint her toenails with her pretend toenail polish!

Girls giving each other hugs after opening their presents from each other. We let them pick out presents for everyone at the Dollar Tree...REALLY wished I would have taken pics of everyones reactions. HYSTERICAL!

Daddy got Silly String from Amelia, and socks from Abigail. I got scissors for sewing from Abigail and a fingernail file etc. from Amelia.

Daddy had to shoot them with the Silly string in the house!!!

Loving Neville...have I told you that they have a love affair going on?? THEY ADORE EACH OTHER!!!

Cars from Pop...this is the only fight we had that day... they fought over both the big cars! There were two little and two big ones! Nana put the two big ones in one box and the other two in one box. Next time Nana...SAME for both! :)

The LOVED vanity..it is HYSTERICAL... I need to video what all it says while they are getting ready for the royal ball! This was from Nana, Pop and Aunt Kelli

The Spread....

We allow the girls to ask Santa for three things. A friend of mine told me that they did this as a child and I thought it was a GREAT idea. We try to remind them that baby Jesus got three gifts from the threewise men and so that's all they should ask for. This year without this rule the list would have gone on and on and on!!!!!
They asked for gmnastic classes, a big girl bicycle and a swimmming baby doll. They got all three and some cute goodies in their stockings!

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Once we got home we read The Night Before Christmas, and then put out cookies, milk, and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.

Carrots for the reindeers.
Abigail with the cookies.
We went outside to check to see if we could see Santa.

I never posted about our Elf on the Shelf. The girls named HER Madeline.

Night Night my sweet angels!

Of course as every year...... Gryffin ends up beating Santa to the cookies! Of course we put more out for "Santa"! :)

Just wanted to show you what we did with all the Christmas cards this year. I "borrowed" the idea from Christy-- Thanks Christy :) Next year I am going to have to do it on two windows !

Christmas Eve Church and Dinner

I took a few pics of the girls right before we went into church on Christmas Eve.

So many of you have asked how I always get so many sweet pics of them together. WELL I will be the FIRST to tell you our life is not just Sweetness and Roses. This pic was taken two seconds after the first one.....

Amelia is pretty much screaming at her to let go!

Another tradition is to go out somewhere quick to eat after church. We chose Waffle House this year!!

Cookies For Santa

After our Beignets we decided to get REALLY sugar shock and bake cookies for Santa. The girls LOVE to cook anything that I will let them! So they were SUPER excited about baking cookies for him! Of course I think they are adorable in their Chef Hats. :)

Yes I acutally let them crack the eggs themselves...BRAVE I know, but hey a little egg shell never hurt anyone and I don't think my mom let me crack one until at least a teenager (sorry mom, but you know you always had to take the spoon over!) I didn't learn to REALLY cook until I married Brian! Thank god he will eat anything!

They love to taste it more than anything!

They are shaking up the food coloring in their sugar.

Painting on melted butter before sprinkling on the sugar.

Another tradition I hope to continue for MANY years to come!!!

Christmas Eve

On Chirstmas Eve every year we go to Cafe Du Monde to get some yummy beignets. It's been quite a fun tradition!

YUMMMY powdered sugar!
Reading the Kids Directory.

Abigails favorite Choclate Milk...check out the powdered sugar all over her!

1,000 posts

I just noticed we just hit 1,001 posts!!! CRAZY!!! Here's to you all my blogging friends! I know there are MANY of you out there that read this but never comment. Please leave us a comment. I know the girls when they are MUCH older will love to read through this one day and it would be neat to show them all the people thinking about them and following them through their childhood.

This is from my Aunts house at Thanksgiving...I need to post all the pics from the farm that I never posted and YES we are on BIG round bales of hay!!!
