Off to NaNa and Poppa Joe's house for New Years Eve

This morning the girls went to NaNa's and Poppa Joe's house to spend the night for the first time with out us. I met NaNa half way between our house and their house to drop them off. I was sad, but also looking forward to our night out. We are going to dinner tonight with some good friends, and plan on sleeping in tomorrow!!

Celebration in the Oaks.

Brian proposed to me 6 years ago today. He took me to Celebration in the Oaks in City Park in New Orleans. We went walking through the gardens, and then he took me on a horse carriage ride. This is when he proposed. Every year since then we have gone back on December 30th. This year we were not sure if they were going to have it due to Hurricane Katrina, but they did have it. It was on a much smaller scale, but they had the gardens decorated. We decided to take the girls to see how they liked it. We walked around and saw the lights, and went through Story Book Land. They had a good time looking at everything, and evcryone!! They crashed as soon as we got in the car because it was their normal bed time.

Jump Jump Jump

Today we went to BabiesRUs in Baton Rouge. (The one in Metarie is still closed due to hurricane Katrina.) We got the girls their new big girl car seats. I will post pics of those when we get them installed in the car. We also went to Robert (Brian's cousin) and Lisa's house to get a entertainment armoire that they are giving us. While we were waiting for Robert to get home from work, we played in the back yard. These are some cute pics!

 

 

 

 

 

Mashed Bananas, Mashed Bananas (for all you Wiggles fans)

Today the girls ate small pieces of mashed up bananas for the first time. The only other finger foods they have had is Cheerios, and this puffed fruit things that melt fast!
Abigail absolutely LOVED it! She got them everywhere. (Check out the pic near her nose...) Amelia didn't like them at all! She kept making horrible faces, and at the end had clamped her mouth shut. BUT she put on a smile when I pulled out the camera while she had it in her mouth. She is SUCH a camera HAM!

I don't really like the banana's, but I will smile for the camera anyway!

 

Time with our cousins, MeMe, and Paw Paw

Today we went to Me Me and Paw Paw's house.. Rebecca and Catherine, are staying with Me Me and Paw Paw for a couple of days. They are Brian's cousins kiddos. They are really sweet and great with the girls.

Brian helped his dad with laying tile, and I went scrapbook shopping!

Everything was alot of fun even though daddy left the food and bottles at home... thanks Me Me for keeping those kind of things around your house for emergencies like today!!

Kendal is going to be a big sister

One of our closest friends Shannon and Ross Hedrick announced this past week that they are expecting again and are due in August. This is a picture of their daughter Kendal. She is such a doll!! Kodak Moment

Today I had my camera in hand and Amelia was laying on the floor looking up talking to me... one of those sweet moments, and it came out to be such a BEAUTIFUL picture of her. She definitely LOVES the camera!
