Happy Mardi Gras!

Today was the girls first Mardi Gras. They had a great time, but we had a very busy long day. They are EXHAUSTED tonight and so are mom and dad! Here is a pic of them in their Mardi Gras outfits that I made them!

Just to let you know I took 104 pictures today... The following pics are just some of the BEST... I could have put a TON more on here! You know me I LOVE to take pictures of my kids and any other kids I am around!

Mardi Gras Day

Today we went to our friends house Chrissy and Charlie who live on the parade route in Covington. Chrissy and I met at the Mom's of Multiples functions. We became fast friends and we talk to each other quite often! Her twins Julia and Rachel are identical and I think around 19 months old. They are beautiful. They also have a beautiful son Dominic who is 3. They are such a sweet family, and we had a GREAT time at the parade today with them. The girls even got to take a power nap at their house, because they have 2 cribs!

Chrissy and Charlie... I am so glad that ya'll invited us to come over today! We had such a GREAT time! It's going to be so much fun having all our kiddos play together this summer!!!

Aint no place to pee on Mardi Gras Day Party

Brians parents (AKA Meme and Paw Paw) always go to their friends house Louie and Bev for the Aint no place to Pee on Mardi Gras day party. Brian and I have enjoyed going for the past couple of years, so we decided to take the girls this year. We had fun, and Brian got to eat some crawfish!

We hung out in the backyard for a while, and of course as usual the girls hung out in the wagon! This was one of their new friends Ray Ray.

I think Abigail has had enough partying for one day!

Amber and Makayla came to play!

Today Amber Holifield Martin and her little girl Makayla came to play with us. She is expecting her 2nd little girl at the end of April. The girls LOVED Makayla! She is such a beautiful little girl!! We also had fun going to the scrap book store! Thanks for driving down Amber.

Aunt Char came to visit.

Charlotte Denton Gage is one of my closest friends. We met at the University of Southern Miss on 3rd floor of Jones Hall our Freshman year. We became quick friends and have been very close since then. She now lives in Tampa Florida, but stops in on her way in or out of New Orleans when she comes to visit her parents. We LOVE getting to spend some time with her. Today we met her in New Orleans and had lunch and spent some time at the Spreens house visiting.

Char it was GREAT to see you!! Hope you can come back soon!!

Abigail LOVES Buddy

Abigail LOVES animals. It doesn't matter what they are she loves them. They can be in person, in a book, and on TV. She just lights up when she sees one. Meme and Paw Paw Spreen have a dog figurine by their fireplace that they named Buddy. Today Abigail found him for the first time and LOVED him!!!

She loved him so much she gave him kisses!!!

Night-Night

Everyone asks how do you do it with twins? My response most of the time is Babywise. It is a book titled "On Becoming Babywise" by Gary Ezzo & Robert Buckman. It teaches you how to teach them how to sleep through the night. Ours were sleeping 7 P.M. until 7 A.M.

We don't rock them to sleep at night. We put them in their bed and this is what happens.........

MeMe and Paw Paw came for a visit!

Meme and Paw Paw came over today to visit. We ate lunch and visited. The girls had a GREAT time playing with Meme and Paw Paw--

Crazy Amelia hair

Amelia has had this crazy hair that goes wild at any moment!
Last night I went to mom's night out for the mom's of multiples group. (For those of you keeping count-- yes that was two nights out in one week! WOOHOO!!) We went to Rockafellers in Mandeville. It was delicious!
Daddy had fed the girls and had put them in their play saucers to watch their Baby Einstein movie while he got their bed time stuff ready. I was walking out the door and this is what Amelia looked like.

Notice that daddy didn't get all of dinner off of her face.. I guess she is about to take a bath so it's ok! He does a GREAT job when I leave him at home for the night with the girls!

Having twins can be quite funny most days. I spend alot of my good days laughing at the two of them! They are really hilarious interacting together! Today Abigail thought it would be fun to stick her fingers in Amelia's mouth and poke at her eyes. Amelia is the one laughing.... check it out....http://media.putfile.com/Abgail-poking-at-Amelia

Abigail is 10 months old

Here are both of the girls 10 month old pictures. You can probably look in last month's archives to see how much they have changed. They turned 10 months old this past weekend. Time sure does fly when you are having double the fun! :)

They are both speedracer crawling and getting into anything and everything that they can! Both of them pull up on anything they can also. Abigail is cruising around things, and reaching for other things to move to. Amelia is still very reluctant to move while she is standing up unless it is dancing. I am trying to get a good video of her dancing to put on here. Their newest trick is giving kisses. Abigail actually crawled up to Amelia the other day and gave her a kiss.... talk about melting a mom's heart!!!

Abigail used to SCREAM when I would sit her in this chair.. now she LOVES it. This was my rocking chair from when I was a little girl.

Play Group

Yep it was Wednesday yesterdy, so it was play group day. The girls are all playing together now and they have so much fun. Lilly is so cute, and loves having friends around her!

Tara's having a baby!

Last night I had my monthly book club meeting. We eat lots of food, drink some wine, and talk about the book that we were supposed to have read that month. Welll..... since I have had the twins (pretty much since I was 20 weeks pg on..) I haven't read the book. I just go for a night out of the house and some good ole adult converstaion. I don't even know the name of last month's book.. (Something about a Dog) ANYWAY..... Tara Mayo Grissom a friend and sorrority sister from college is having her 2nd baby. We gave her a basket full of children's books last night. We each gave her our favorite book as a child. Tara, we are all ready to know what you are having! Not too much longer and Jordan will be a big sister!

And for those of you interested... the book this month is Kite Runner by Khaled Hossnini. I might try to read it! :)
