Soccer Girls

Amelia told us about 3 days before we went to go see Santa that she was going to tell Santa she wanted a Soccer ball. We had NO idea where that had come from! After asking her who had a soccer ball she said Dora. She sure did tell Santa VERY clearly she wanted a Soccer ball for christmas. She sure did get one! A PINK one!!! SHe was soooo excited to go play with it outside. Nothing like playing outside in your PJ's on Christmas day! (I didn't feel too bad when we saw kids on new four wheelers in PJ's in our neighborhood.)

Amelia had a hard time with the No hands thing..... They DID got the contact rough sport thing down though!

Nana got into the action.
Amelia would yell go team go team the whole time! She did more yelling all sorts of crazy things rather than kicking the ball (she has gotten pretty good at it now though)
Aunt Kelli played with them too.
Abigail was great at running and kicking the ball. We might have to check out 3 year old soccer this summer... Could be pretty funny!

Christmas Day

I took of course a million pics christmas morning and day...I just picked a few :)
The girls were both in awe when they came out into the living room. They were pretty funny..they didn't know what to play with first. After a little time of playing with Rocket and the Dora castle we started opening presents and going through our stockings.

Opening the princess clothes.

They kept going back to playing with the Dora castle.

One of their favorite gifts was a Diego spotting scope.

Gryffin and Neville were left gifts from Santa too...

Neville loved playing with his new toys.

Abigail making sure she found EVERY piece of choclate left from Santa.

Another one of the girls favorite gifts was Sit in Spins from their Aunt Kelli.

Shannon passed on the idea to us of taking the girls to the Dollar Tree to pick out gifts for our family members. You should have seen all the things they picked out for everyone. It was pretty funny. Abigail took FOREVER to pick out a gift for Aunt Kelli...she FINALLY settled on 1,000 stickers!!! I know Kelli will get lots of use out of those :)
We sang Happy Birthday to baby Jesus.

Brian got the girls USM cheerleading outfits while he was in H'burg for work one day. They are sooo cute in them. Abigail loved doing a cheer for us. GO EAGLES!!!
They also loved this present left in their stocking...a super dooper reindeer pooper. He poops jelly beans..they think it's HILARIOUS!

Happy Birthday Pop

Just a little song for you Pops!!

Christmas morning before the girls got up.

Chirstmas morning Brian and I got up early to stick the turkey in the oven. (I officially cooked my first turkey along with the ENTIRE Christmas meal!) Here is what everything looked like before the girls woke up.

Here is our Christmas tree.

The girls each got three gifts from Santa. (We are trying to start this as a tradition that goes along with the three wiseman brought three gifts to baby Jesus.) Amelia got a Pat Pat Rocket, a soccer ball, and trunk of princess dress up clothes. Abigail got a Pat Pat Rocket, a Dora Princess Castle, and a trunk of dress up clothes. They also got a few odds and ends in their stockings.

We Left cookies & Milk for Santa and Carrots for the Reindeers.

The girls each picked out a cookie for Santa.

Then we put them by the chimney for Santa and his reindeer! They were soooo excited about putting them out this year..it was soooo cute!!

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Brian read the girls The Elmo's Night Before Christmas.

Christmas Eve

Back to christmas...as always running behind on posts....
We took these right before we were getting in the car going to church the night of Christmas Eve. The girls were excited about ALL the festivities!

Abigail was ready to GO!!!

Paci Update....

Last night went so much better than we could have ever expected. Abigail and Amelia both went to sleep only after 45 minutes . They slept the entire night until 6:45 this morning. (which is about normal) I then heard Abigail whine and ask Amelia " Amelia where are our Paci's? " Amelia responded "Abigail we gave them to the baby birds...." kind of in a Well DUH tone. It was pretty funny and made me smile this morning after a night of ME not sleeping bc I was worried about them! They were sleeping away and I am the one not sleeping..what's wrong with that picture!!!
Nap time today...ummmm did NOT go so good. Neither of them napped. They chatted and pretty much played the entire two and half hours. I even bribed them with ice cream after dinner if they napped...no such luck.
Tonight they both asked for them, but we reminded them of how proud of them that we were for giving them to Diego and the baby birds. Abigail said she needed the paci's not the birds. (smart kid) She wanted a little extra lovin from Daddy and then off to bed with a little whining but no crying!
Hopefully they will nap sometime in the next week!
I will FINALLY update pics from the rest of the Christmas festivities this weekend!

Paci's-- Baby Birds--- Luvy's and a couple of broken hearts.

Brian has REALLY been pushing for the girls to give up their Pacifiers AKA their Paci. They LOVE them ESPECIALLY Abigail.
I borrowed an idea from Brittany and Troy on how to give the Pacifiers away. (THANKS!)
They have only had them at bed time and nap time for a long time, but they are quite in love with them. They also love Diego who loves to help animals...so.... every day we feed the birds in our back yard. We went outside today and found a letter from Diego.

Here is the letter.

I knew we had to take action FAST after the letter was read. Abigail starts thinking about things and it could have gone VERY badly. They were VERY excited to help the baby birds. Of course Abigail only wanted to give them one. We pretty much had to make her put all her paci's in the bag.

We then went and played soccer in the front yard.

We went into the back yard to swing and found a present and another letter.

Diego left the girls new Luvy's to thank them for helping the baby birds.
All was GREAT until bed time tonight. Abigail took one look at the new luvy and LOST it! She was begging for her paci's back. We told her how proud we were of her to give her paci's to the baby birds. Brian pretty much had to kick me out of the room bc I was getting VERY emotional too! (I feel soooo bad taking away a security of theirs! Also makes me a little sad that this is the last thing that makes them a baby! It just breaks my heart to see her soooo upset!)
It took about 4 times of Brian going in to calm her down (Which is alot considering they have put them selves to sleep, and slept 12 hours a night since they were 12 weeks old!)
Amelia really didn't care all that much!!! I guess we could have taken hers away a long time ago. She asked maybe twice where they were , and when we said they were given to the baby birds she said..Ok. She was much more concerned with why Abigail was crying.
We shall see how the night goes...I feel we may be up alot tonight.

Baby Jesus's birthday cake and Cookies for Santa

On Christmas Eve we baked cupcakes for baby Jesus and cookies for Santa. The girls literally did it all on their own. The only thing I did was pour or scoop the ingredients into the measuring cups or spoons. They poured everything in. They even cracked the eggs themselves. They both LOVE cooking!! Especially Abigail...you can't be in the kitchen cooking without her coming in there asking what you are cooking and can she help.
These pics I think are my most favorite of this season!!! Sorry there are a TON but they are so hilarious I couldn't help it!

Chef Abigail
We are READY we have our spoons!

Taking turns adding the ingredients.
Love this one...of cours Abigail has a little "taste" in her mouth.
Yep tasting it again.

Of course...Ms. Abigail telling someone what to do and Amelia just having a BLAST!

Caught her again "tasting"

REady to roll out the dough.... I didn't get any pics of them cutting out the cookies...that was an all man on board kind of job so I couldn't take pics too!

Caught AGAIN!
Amelia adding the sprinkles.

Neville wanted to see what was going on.
TADA Yummy cookies for Santa!!!
